In order to enhance accessibility and availability of news and educational content from the Federal Reserve Board, they have launched their Instagram and Threads accounts. Chair Jerome H. Powell will welcome users with a brief video in the first Instagram post. Instagram posts will feature photos, videos, FAQs, economic education content, and more. Threads will include press releases, speeches, reports, and other content regularly shared on the Board’s X account (formerly Twitter).
The primary channel of communication will still be the Board’s website, www.federalreserve.gov. Only selected announcements will be shared on Instagram and Threads, after being initially posted on the website.
The Board now communicates through seven platforms, including X, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn, and the newly launched Instagram and Threads.
